TRYING TO GET BACK ON A CREATIVITY TRACK

Lots of creativity - in designing a web site, in creating pages for our holiday vacation rental site. But not much for a long time in the area of creativity for the sake of creativity.

The core of my life in much of my childhood, and again in years and years of adulthood - but then i could not get things out into the world. Now too it isn't easy. But much more is possible.

I can see the next step and the next step. Not the whole road, but some of the steps ahead before all is fog and mist and blowing snow - like there's snow outside, just three days before the equinox, just days before spring is scheduled to begin.

But to get back on my track - creativity for the sake of creativity. This is part of it. And beside me on my desk sits a new mike on a new mike stand. A mike with a USB cable attacked - its only power source. In other words, it can go anywhere my computer goes, and more, it's designed to record only on a computer. Ideal for podcasting, it said on the package. That is the next direction to go. And on Tuesday evening, I'll listen to a program that outlines the best steps to take for podcasting. So what if the approach isn't perfect. It will get me going.

More songs are going on the web. So movement there as well. And that makes me think of the next update - to let people know of all this.

Steps and more steps. One after the other.

Not new creativity, in this case. But steps that get creative works out into the world, a few tiny steps further into the fray of the world, into the public.

And I see n my mind's eye, a small girl on the first day of school. Shy as all around her kids play, run, jump. So much movement around her, such a whirl and flurry and confusing chaos. She is quiet. But somehow she needs to become part of it.

At home all was too quiet. Fighting and playing with her sister. But not enough to fil her. This, though, is scary. She stays still.

Now I am not staying still. I am pushing creative pieces, one after the other, somewhere on the playground, the playing field. Unlike the little girl, they have me behind them, doing her best to get them into some game, some activity.

A note for those of you who, like me, care that I sometimes write "Elsas creativity blog" and sometimes "Elsa's creativity blog." I prefer to use "Elsa's" - this is the grammatically correct spelling. But there are rules of the web. One rule: there are places where one can't use apostrophes. Another rule: one is supposed, at specific times, to use the spelling identical to the place where one can't use apostrophes.
