Here: why is good thinking, critical thinking, logical thinking about politically correct opinions generally totally disregarded?
What is happening is obvious. But why? Why is political correctness associated with rigid not thinking, logical fallacies?

Nope! It's not good ethics. It's a politically correct logical fallacy.
The question: is good thinking politically incorrect?

Politically Incorrect?
One thing is just to unearth facts. So, here are some facts: millions upon millions of nice caring people in the West rigidly believe that all opinions, cultures and religions are equal. Masses of them also believe one must not offend a religion, and who are we to judge.
One can go on to facts about the different opinions.
One can label the thinking: politically correctness gone mad. One can point out the inherent logical fallacies. One can ask: is good thinking, logical thinking, politically incorrect?
One may reach a few people, or even many.
There's another approach: one can try to figure out WHY so many people hold opinions that fly in the face of the facts and logic. These people believe they have good ethics, good values. It's easy to show they lack good sense.
But so what. The big question: WHY would anyone think it's good ethics to believe that it's wrong to judge? Why would anyone think all opinions, let alone all cultures and all religions, are equal?
It's easy to make fun of political correctness, to point out the shortcomings of politically correct people.
It's harder to figure out why they are as they are.
They hate racism, prejudice against women and gays, anti-Semitism. So why is there often a rigid wall against good thinking?
One small answer: millions of well-meaning parents and teachers daily drill their mind-numbing politically correct message into millions of children.
But why do they do this?
I believe there is one major underlying reason - a legacy from the past. And it's time for a huge mental breakthrough, a major mind shift taking millions in the West to the next level.

The Idea Emporium - critical thinking vs rigid political correctness
It's been an almost lifelong adventure - from being a little girl, not understanding why some people did not want to be friends, based on nothing to do with me as a person - to struggling to understand why social movements with such lofty goals often went totally wrong - to also coming to an understanding of the ins and out of political correctness.
I don't imagine I know it all - or have the only explanation. But I do think I have one of the keys to understanding political correctness gone mad. Quite important - rather than just being maddened by political correctness gone mad.
