A friend of Ed's saw my ad for a musician and contacted me. I brought a whole slew of songs to our meeting. Tank Almost Empty was one of the pieces that appealed to him.

We worked on a cuple of variations - my singing it with my less than amazing singing voice, and my speaking it with Ed's guitar carrying the melody.

What you hear here is a quick re-recording of the spoken version. I have a song version as well. again something quickly re-recorded - I like parts, and maybe I will put it up, but only after there's a better version.

My hope: that within a couple of months, there will be another recording, of both the spoken word version, and the song version.
