Zuhause, Heimatort ... Sehnsucht
Wo Mein Zuhause Ist
(Im Waldviertel stand meine Wiege)
Wo auf einem Hügel
ein kleines Schulhaus steht,
Wo man über Stiegen
hinauf zur Kirche geht!
Da ist meine Heimat!
Nur da ganz allein?
Wo immer ich auch wand're
mein Herz will stets dort sein.
Wo ein kleines Bächlein
Haus und Hof begrenzt,
Dort wo ich als Jüngling
die Schule hab’ geschwänzt,
Dort wohnt meine Seele
Dort ist ihr Heimatort.
Wär' auch ich noch dort zuhause,
ich ginge nimmer fort.
JA , ÖSTERREICH DU bist mir HEIMAT
nur DU bist mein Zuhaus.
Zog auch als grüner Jüngling
ich weit in die Welt
hinaus.
