I have a profound belief in all of our hard won freedoms, and I have grave concerns about what Imams are telling gullible young people under the guise of religion.

I too have a profound belief in all of our hard won freedoms - like the freedom to think well and clearly - and have grave concerns when thinking is taboo on many topics (such as religion).
Welcome to the webinar. It should be very interesting, especially to hear the input from the people attending. Plus I hope it leads to action, especially in the education system.

What is Islam? The short answer is obvious. It is a religion ... It is harsher and more violent sounding than the Bible, but it is fundamentally the same book.... [W]hile most Muslims are peaceful people, the Imams still preach a fire and brimstone religion that belongs to the Dark Ages. Unless and until this changes the civilized world in under a very real threat. The answer is clear to me ...

This is not exactly on what is Islam - but on Canadian political correctness gone mad, especially with regard to Muslims. The Canadian Human Rights Commissions is supposed to promote justice. It does not....

Elsa, You say you will have an expert. Rabbis are experts too! Islamism is taking over Europe. Hoping that your "expert" is on the right side... meaning NO VIOLENCE, GENOCIDE.... We have not recovered from WWII.

that a rabbi could also be an expert on Islam. Sure, why not. I think someone Christian can be an expert on the Jewish religion, someone Hindu on the Muslim religion, etc. It has to do with study and knowledge - expertise.
One does not have an insider's experience - so one has not experienced being a woman, black, Jewish, Muslim, Christian - if one is an outsider. But one can have any amount of knowledge, expertise. And some people are also, on top of that, great at listening and so (at least somewhat) are able to understand things from the inside.
