rainbow in the sky

spared the storm
spared the rain
it passed me by
not spared the pain
there is pain
and ache and grief
rainbow in the sky
double rainbow
brilliant light
sunlight that glows
on dark clouds
it shows

colors bright

the storm, the rain
passed me by
another rain
has fallen hard
most of the time
I've closed my heart
and feel
I'm spared
most of the pain

almost gone
evening light
dusk
inside numb
I felt anger
grief
sorrow
waves
of feelings
and now...?
I love my home
I love the view
the fields
the green
the colors
the sky
every reason why
nothing is the same
except this scene
this view
this pain?
old pain?
old old pain
of love not full
love unfulfilled
old old pain
I live
I see
inside rain
rain that softens
eases pain
softens ground
soft mist of rain
and outside
the storm has passed
has never been
not here
there's dark
elsewhere
and yet the rainbow
the double rainbow
glowed here
