I AM NOT A LAMB

I am not a lamb
         It's a tiger I am
I am not a dove
         cooing love

It's a tiger I am
         a tiger
         a horse
         (and a woman of course)

not a lamb
         meek and mild
not a bewildered child

a wolf that runs wild
a star in its glow
a fire that shows
a tiger
a woman with power prowling
         inside her


I am not a lamb
         gamboling in daisies
         bleating baa baa blaa

a woman with a tiger inside her
         the eyes of a wolf
                  that seeks
                  that sees

a woman with power prowling inside her
