knowledge, experience, analysis;
kiss the kiss keep it stupid system goodbye - keep it smart - no thinking means no learning, no creativity, no brain;
kiss principle? keep it simple kiss? - it's too simple - keep it sizzling, scintillating, savory, sensual, smart

that for humans, an idea is much more
powerful than a fact."
An idea is often something quite simple -
the idea, say, that one group is better than another.
Keep it simple stupid - not my idea of a good idea.
So how do we check for good thinking ideas?

I heard of the KISS system long
ago - keep it simple stupid. That came to mind the other day when
I read that complexity was the kiss of death on the web. Dense
writing does not get read. Big words turn people off.
Which people? And just what does
this mean? Is this the kiss of death for thinking, at least on the web?
I don't believe in unnecessary
complexity. I also don't believe in unnecessary simple-mindedness.
Flat language. Flat thinking. A flat-line brain.
I've met many
people with what could be termed rigor mortis of the brain, thought
patterns in deep set ruts. Their thinking does not seem to have gone
on a road less traveled in a long time.
Again, I wonder: is the whole multi-tasking GIVE ME A QUICK ANSWER mentality, along with the KISS system, the kiss of death for good thinking?
MORE
We're
born with the capacity to think.
What we learn to do with it,
is what matters.
Do we learn thinking is a pleasure or a chore?
So we roll our eyes at the approach of
an idea?
Do we turn off - or on.
Is it stimulation, a challenge, a delight?

One of my lifelong concerns has been trying to make sense of reality. What is happening? Sometimes one can do this with the kiss system, kiss principle. Sometimes, though, people skip an essential step: thinking. And it becomes keep it stupid simple, keep it simple and stupid. No thinking, no skill, no creativity. Simple minded - as if the life had been taken out of things.
