Some people are armed with knowledge - forewarned is forearmed.
Others are armed with intuition, charm, muscle, brain.
As for the major armor of Bush McCain Palin and many others ....
Bush McCain Palin -
Armed and Dangerous
Sarah Palin is in many ways another George Bush. Female, prettier, warmer. But, rock bottom, they have the same foundation. And McCain seems not too different, either.
George Bush is associated with words like stupid, funny, dumb - stupid George Bush, George Bush funny, funny George W Bush, dumb George Bush. Funny never means he has a great sense of humor. It means he's unintentionally said something dumb.
Sarah Palin is associated with family and also, words like bikini.
Where's the connection?
From everything I've seen of them in action, at the core of them both is self righteousness. A vote for McCain, and especially Sarah Palin (who could well end up as president if he got in), is not, primarily, a vote for the right, but a vote for self righteousness. For smug self righteousness and a denial of reality. MORE
We're
born with the capacity to perceive.
We need to find a way of dealing with all
that's coming at us. Many people
turn to blocking out huge chunks of the world,
stay behind a wall of self righteousness.

Governor Sarah Palin - nice. Governor Sarah Palin - blinkered. Governor Sarah Palin - not so nice.
John McCain campaign - keeps bringing up stuff like the little people. John McCain campaign - lots of belittling.
John McCain campaign - smear tactics from both John and Sarah.
Sarah Palin - fundamentalist religion. Sarah Palin - fundamentalist beliefs.
Sarah Palin - fundamentally at odds with reality on fundamental stuff like evolution.
The McCain campaign - not part of an axis of evil, to use one of George Bush's favorite terms.
Yet the McCain campaign - no one is as blind as the one who will not see - much that
McCain and Palin firmly close their eyes to, armed with self righteousness.
McCain Palin - effective as politicians.
Yet McCain Palin - cutting off perception.
McCain Palin - my hope is that enough people in the States have grown beyond
the self righteousness of these two, and will therefore vote for someone with a firmer grip on reality.
