DEATH OF DESIRE?
is it the death of desire?
has the fire died?
or is there fire under the ashes?
are there embers that remember?
or it this the death of desire?
has the fire gone out, died?
has it been unfed so long
nothing can save it
nothing can breathe it
back to life?
is this the death of desire?
not death
but living with desires that have died
died stillborn, unborn, not even half formed
or the desires have been formed
have burned
but haven't gained their aim
and now
is this the death of desire?
have the fires of desire truly died?

A dozen
years ago,
I began to wake up
with word pieces -
words music, spoken word, songs -
in my head.
Escape velocity.
Echo of the echo.
Tank almost empty.
Can't cross the gap.
Welcome into my world.
DEATH OF DESIRE POETRY
LOSS OF DESIRE POEMS
I don't play in the sandbox anymore
that desire has died
I don't want high heels anymore
that desire has died
does this mean,
instead of desire poems,
I come to
death of desire odes and eulogies
someone said,
a time comes to put away childish things
but desire, that isn't something just for children
a child desires
grownups also desire
but what if a huge desire dies
is it time for
a loss of desire poem
lack of desire poetry?
whatever time is is,
everything has changed
when desire changes
