more on WHO IS MY MATCH

At the beginning of winter, the basement is loaded with wood. Nearby are 2 boxes of matches.
For years, I've also been loaded with "wood" - words and music and ideas that haven't caught fire in the world.
Such a struggle to find even one good match.

I've come back to this aching loneliness over and over, the loneliness for the right match.
Some people find it easy to reach out. I have reached out - but I've lacked the knack for good reaching.
I'm not a natural insider.

I get the image of myself in Grade One. On the sidelines. Shy.
The way I got "inside" was to bring a skipping rope. Much easier for me to become part of something
if I had a skipping rope and people came to me.

The web has given me the first big chance at a skipping rope into the wide world.
Before I supposed I could have set up a little publishing house.
I'm overwhelmed at even the thought of getting it going, and then I come to the whole issue of distribution.
Instant exhaustion. I know others have done it - but it does not feel like my route at all.
I imagine stacks of magazines and books stuck forever in boxes.

The web isn't easy either - but there are skills within my learning range -
plus I got lucky, was shown a route to learning those skills.

I still go, who is my match, where is my match - though there are several matches in my life.
Just a couple more, it seems to me, and maybe there will be a huge shift.
