Elsa's Creativity Space - Update
   Hello again,    

This is a story of how one change can lead to another, totally unintentionally.

In the last update, I introduced you to my new opening page. (All responses are in favor of the new one.)

I wasn't planning anything else. But over the past week, that change led to another unexpected change - because I had to face that one of my sections didn't have a cover. The Idea Emporium.

It didn't matter until I changed the opening page. Before that, there were links to a few of the idea pieces. Now, since I've simplified the menu, you go to the table of contents.

Go into any bookstore. The books don't start with the table of contents. They have flashy covers meant to make you open the book.

Don't judge a book by its cover, I've often heard. But what if the book doesn't have a cover?

I knew it wouldn't work. So the past few days I've developed my "cover". I've even revamped the table of contents for the Idea Emporium so it's not a simple listing of articles. I've put the favorites - the most read articles - at the top.

Here's the newly created opening page for The Idea Emporium.

It gives various choices, including:

Highly Non-Secret Ingredients for Good Thinking.

Stupid Opinions.

Good Thinking Explorations.

and finally ... the Table of Contents.

Once again, I would love your response. Does the new opening for The Idea Emporium work for you? Let me know.

And what's my hope for you? That you're also making progress.

And I'd love to hear from you about one change leading to other unexpected changes.

The name is a signal.

i am not calling mayday. This is not a distress signal.

It's a hello signal, come see me, notice me.

Elsas creativity place
calling all search engines
to find me on my island
deserted but fertile
enchanted but isolated
creative and creating but too too alone.

Who will help me through my dark?
Who will help me make my mark?
Who will help me build my ark?
I cannot do it alone.

I'm calling to people
but strangely it's not people
I am turning to for help.

It's the web
the world wide web.

I'm calling hoping the web will hear that
