Elsa's Creativity Space - Update
   Hello again,    

It's the fall equinox - night and day of equal length, a moment of balance in the shift toward ever longer nights, until once again there is a turning point and we move toward longer and longer days until once again the tide turns.

On this day of balance, 2 things come to mind, 2 things that may help with a good shift:

First, a writer in residence would be welcome at Les Hauts - a place to live, work, enjoy - in return for work (about 15 hours per week). The time: anytime (or all the time) from November to the end of May. Minimum stay: 1 month. (A short stay over the Christmas season is not possible.)

Take a look.

If this appeals to you, let me know. Also, if you know someone who needs time to do some writing (creative project, thesis, etc), please pass this on.

Second, time to move, and yet time to figure out where best to go. This is what's happening with me about my creativity site.

Words go through my head, the opening words from a piece I wrote years ago:

     NOT ON EMPTY, NOT ON FULL

     I'm not on empty. I'm not on full.
     I'm not stuck in a rut. I'm in a lull.
     I'm not going forward. I'm not going back.
     But my wheels aren't spinning. I'm waiting for a track

                                                  MORE - with sound

If the lack of movement goes on, there's a problem. But right now, it feels like a healthy staying in place, as things are getting sorted through - on everything from design to automation to the color of the background of some of the pages.

The words from another piece go through my mind:

     THE TIME FOR WAITING IS COMPLETED

     I wait
     but the time for waiting is completed
     Yet I stay
     though staying is not needed

                                                 MORE - with sound

I feel I'm between the two worlds. The world where I need to stay put a bit longer, because I don't know where to head yet. And the world where I keep waiting, through the time for waiting is completed.

So many directions to move in. That is partly what holds me back. But I do know one direction I can take today. I'm putting the 2 pieces onto the web, the 2 pieces that went through my head - along with sound. A few weeks ago, I finally got my mike working. These are the first 2 pieces I will record and put on the web.

And now, hours later, these are the first pieces recorded with my new mike - brand new sound.

Yes, better if they had a beat background - but better with voice than silent.

So the time for waiting is completed. Many directions to go.

Most humans would just register that it's
Elsas creativity something or other.

And it is.
But there's more.

The name is a signal.

This is

Elsas creativity space.

i am not calling mayday. This is not a distress signal.

It's a hello signal, come see me, notice me.

Hello,
it's Elsas creativity space
Elsas creativity place
calling all search engines
to find me on my island
deserted but fertile
enchanted but isolated
creative and creating but too too alone.

Who will help me through my dark?
Who will help me make my mark?
Who will help me build my ark?
I cannot do it alone.

I'm calling to people
but strangely it's not people
I am turning to for help.

It's the web
the world wide web.

I'm calling hoping the web will hear that
