Hello again,

I think we've all wished for grace, at some time or another. Grace - a sudden change, all misery gone, all sadness, all pain. Instead, deep lasting inner peace. A permanent change, a kind of quantum leap into peacefulness .

I was wondering about grace, the other day - and especially about sometimes wishing for a road map for getting there. It's not very helpful when those who've experienced it say things like, "It just happened."

What else might I have that goes with thoughts about grace?

It took me a while, but I found a poem, from years ago, on the feeing of all deep inner contentment - not the often permanent peace coming from grace, but the sense of peace when all feels right:

8 O'CLOCK

evening shadows
            porchlights bright
evening walking
            dog by my side
no longer hungry
not yet tired

it's eight o'clock
            and I'm just fine
