Hello again,

Here's something completely different. A video - a first. About 11 cats.

But first, is there anything about you that others might consider excessive? Is there anything about you, that when others find out, they kind of stop and pause? That brings me back to this video.

It's not a video I expected to do. About a month ago, I prepared 2 serious topics. They were filmed. "In the can" - an old expression from the time when people used film and then put it "in the can." I have some of those cans of film, from long long ago.

One hour was left. So, something short and light. I had just the thing.

A couple of weeks ago, when I sat down to try my hand at video editing - such magic - I decided to start with the short fun piece.

Here it is: 11 Cats - on a side of myself others might consider excessive.

I've also put up a cat photo gallery.

Of course the video's not all fun - behind it are serious ideas about the role of animals in our lives, stuff I've looked at seriously in other pieces, like Whose Dog Is it Anyway? I wrote that when the dog next door wanted to move in.

If you go to the 11 Cats video, you'll also find a link to a free download. It's another first, an ebook. A kid's poem, very appropriately entitled Timothy Cat Is Back.

If you know any kids (of any ages) that love animals, maybe they'd enjoy it.

The next 2 videos will be on big serious topics, with big serious ideas (stuff I also love). But for today, I'd love you to take a look at something fun.
