Hello again,

How has your winter been? Quiet? Uneventful? Exciting?

I ask because the past half year has been one of lots of changes here - and I'd love to share some of the really good parts.

One, a poem. Two, a great resource.

The poem on life: Life Isn't Upside Only

What to do when life isn't smooth sailing? My course has been to try to find resources.

Here's one I've found helpful. Taoist exercises. What are these? Basically and very simply, they're meant to connect you more with your body, with an inner sense of aliveness. With your "chi" - as in t'ai chi. Self connection. Inner connection. Starting with 5 simple (and free) body centered self connection exercises.

I started last fall, with another set of 5 exercises. I liked them enough to take what was called School for Warriors, Part 1.

Why bother with all this body centered self connection stuff?

I read somewhere that understanding is the booby prize. Anyway, my sense is that I have enough understanding. But understanding can be frustrating, especially if it doesn't lead to change. Sometimes I feel cut off from parts of myself. What good does understanding do?

I can think of so many times - for myself and for others - when understanding hasn't been enough.

So I've been drawn to things that are body-centered in this quest for more self connection.

How's life? A bit of an adventure, I'd say.

Pretty soon, I'll get back to more updates about poems and ideas - and there'll also be videos. I have 3 videos very close to getting up on the web. I'm also doing more recording. So stay tuned.
