They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So, what about real photographs of ghosts, ghosts caught on camera, ghost caught on video, ghost footage?
Of course there's ghost footage, miles and miles of it. Thousands of claims of ghost caught on video, hundreds of thousands of images that are supposedly real photographs of real ghosts. But what is all that worth?
It's so easy to fake pictures. Anyone can do weird effects with their little home video cameras. And as for photographs, it's even easier. So all those pictures, no matter how true (or fake) they are, can't prove anything.
They can be fun to look at and wonder about. But as for proof, they don't count.
What is real? With photographs, we don't know. A photograph can only be trusted to the extent the photographer can be trusted. Of course some can't be trusted at all. But it's unlikely that each and every person who claims to have footage of a ghostly presence is trying to deceive.
But the hardest people to undeceive are ourselves. So many of us - like me - want to believe. Proof - they exist or they don't - doesn't really count for anything, or anyway, often doesn't count for much.
It's into this confusing mixture of skeptics and
believers that Caro enters when a weird stranger arrives, claiming
to bring with her an invisible dog.

FLUFFERS BOOK
Pictures prove nothing. The proof has to come from something
else. Perhaps from life after death experiences -
maybe they can convince more than footage.
