Expressing myself, being heard, and listening to others - those things have been utterly vital in my life. Expressing myself - that hasn't been enough. I need to be heard. Not by everyone. But I'm not satisfied with expression, with ideas and thoughts and feelings jotted down in a diary, hidden in an attic, maybe burned, maybe found centuries later.

That isn't for me. As a teenager everything was so utterly private - my personal stuff, anyway. Ideas were always to be shared. But the more I've lived, the more I've needed to reach others, as well as listen.

I started out much better as a listener - more with books than people. Too shy to get close to many people. But books - here were people reaching out to me with stories, and I listened with passion. I also listened to ideas - loved how ideas tried to make more sense of the world, and sometimes succeeded.

And that brings me to this - a blogger blogging, trying for interesting blogs, top blogs, best blogs. But most, I'm trying to stay true to what wants to come from inside me, ideas in idea blogs, thoughts on creativity in creativity blogs, and everything also personal, so everything is also part of a personal blog. That makes me a personal blogger, also one of the thinking bloggers, ideas bloggers, plus a poetry blogger plus lots more.

The words matter because how will you find me if I don't use the words you're using to try to find something you want to listen to. So I'm doing my best to listen to you.

And then it will be for you. Are these interesting blogs for you? Do you want to post blog comments? Do you find they stir the riches within you? Is there something that happens, as happens to me when i read things that touch me? Inner riches released. The world outside made clearer.
